For more than 30 years, Hernaldo Rivera Jr. has cultivated a distinguished career at the intersection of institutional finance and meaningful client partnership—building enduring relationships, guiding strategy, and delivering results that stand the test of time.
He has held leadership positions with some of the most respected firms in the industry, including Principal Funds, BNY Mellon, and Yorktown Investments, where he served as Principal. In that role, he not only helped scale assets across the Southeast but also demonstrated a rare gift: the ability to translate institutional sophistication into personally relevant outcomes. At Linscomb Williams, he expanded the firm’s client base while elevating its approach to long-term wealth strategy and relationship stewardship.
Yet as his career evolved, so did his focus. Hernaldo realized that his deepest fulfillment came not from building firms—but from building impact in the lives of people. One client at a time.
That realization led to a pivotal shift: from firm emissary to trusted partner. Now as a Managing Director at W.R. Anderson & Co., Hernaldo serves entrepreneurs, executives, and multigenerational families—helping them structure their wealth with clarity, navigate complexity with confidence, and make decisions designed for lasting impact.
Whether advising a business owner on a liquidity event, preparing a family for retirement, assisting an executive who has earned stock options, or shaping a legacy across generations, Hernaldo brings institutional-level expertise, delivered with personal care. His planning process is tailored, strategic, and always centered on the individual—not just the portfolio.
He collaborates closely with estate attorneys, CPAs, and investment managers to build holistic, integrated strategies. The goal is not simply financial growth—but durable, values-based outcomes that align with what matters to his clients most.
Hernaldo earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Houston, where he later served on the Alumni Association Investment Committee. He also served on the board of the Christ Samaritan Center, advancing access to mental health services in underserved communities—an endeavor that reflects his belief in supporting what lasts.
Outside the office, Hernaldo and Oana, enjoy exploring Houston’s culinary landscape, cheering for the Houston Cougars, and traveling whenever possible—and wherever curiosity leads. He’s an avid wine enthusiast, a 7-index golfer, and a lifelong learner constantly expanding his perspective—professionally and personally.
Because for Hernaldo, wealth management is about more than returns. It’s about building wisely. Serving authentically. And helping others create a life—and legacy—that endures.
Building. For lasting impact.
